Indoor Provisions are Back

WE ARE BACK!!!

Following the guidance from the National Youth Agency (NYA) Step 2 of the Road Map for Youth Provisions brings progression.

For the Youth Sector this means from Monday 12th April we are able to start running our indoor provisions!!

As before we have a few rules and regulations to follow!

* as before ALL places MUST be booked in advance via the ‘book now’ button at the top of the page

* each venue has different limitations to how many young people can attend so please check when booking as some now have MORE than 15 places

*as before all young people will sanitise their hands and have their temperatures taken on arrival

*each venue will have a drop off and pick up point and no parents will be allowed to enter buildings

*EVERY young person or parent of under 16’s MUST sign in using the NHS Track and Trace app, with proof shown to a member of staff upon entry to the building

*ALL over 11’s MUST wear a face covering unless eating, drinking or taking part in sporting activities unless exempt. Under 11’s aren’t required to wear face coverings but are able to at parents discretion

*personal belongings MUST be kept to a minimum

*we are only able to run up to age 18 at the minute (as per government guidance)however, only young people who turned 18 as of 31st August 2020 are able to attend. If young people turned 18 before this date; unfortunately they won’t be able to attend for the moment

*older sessions will now start at 7:00pm until 8:00pm

*we ask that ANY young person who is unwell, displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 or has been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 is NOT brought to session

We can't wait to see everyone soon!

Government Guidelines UPDATE 8th March 2021

Good news! From Monday 29th March 2021, we will be running OUTDOOR sessions for young people aged 11-19 years. This will be done on a booking basis as before, with a maximum of 15 per session plus staff/volunteers. We are continuing to follow the guidance provided by the National Youth Agency (NYA), this states that from Monday 29th March the youth sector will move to Step 1B, Amber on the Readiness Framework for all outdoor activities.

We have been continuing to deliver daily Outreach and Detached Youth Work weekly since November 2020.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates of the outdoor sessions and venues where they will be held.

We hope to see you all real soon!

Government Guidelines UPDATE

We remain open. The only change will be all over 11 years will now have to wear face masks during sessions. Following the guidance from the NYA website.

** Following the Prime Ministers statement today (22 Sept 2020) the NYA confirms that as an essential service, youth sector activity remains unchanged where COVID secure to NYA guidance standards. There are NO local restrictions in place across the whole of England. Bubbles of 15 in COVID Secure venues can continue**

Amber

  • COVID Secure venues required
  • Max bubbles of 15 (+ youth workers and staff)
  • Face coverings required for ages 11+
  • Social Distancing required of 1 metre plus

New Government Guidelines

A further update on the National Youth Agency website confirms that the Covid 19 Readiness level remains at Amber level and reads

** Despite the recent change to social gathering restrictions (9th September 2020), we can confirm that as an essential service, youth sector activity can continue unchanged where COVID secure to NYA guidance standards **

As we are Covid secure, our service will continue to run with the current restrictions until we are told different.

We're Back!!

The Youth on the Move project will start back up week commencing 7th September 2020. Please keep your eyes peeled on here for the venues that will be open that week and each week following.

However, as the Covid Readiness Level is currently at an Amber rating (as per the National Youth Agency guidance) we will only be allowed 15 young people to attend a session at any one time. To make this fair, we will be operating a booking system on a weekly basis, this will be on a first come first served basis, once the session is full then that will be it until the following week.

The booking system will start on the Monday of each week at 8:30am, but we will make you aware again with our regular post. The 15 limit could change, this is all dependant upon the current Covid Readiness level and also the government guidelines, as you can understand, this is beyond our control so we have to adhere to this guidance.

When sessions do return, they will be shorter and things will be very different. We will operate Covid security measures which will consist of a track and trace form upon arrival to be completed by parents, temperature checks of young people on arrival, a hand washing station and hand sanitising stations in the venues. All of our equipment and venues will be cleaned prior the session, during and also after to limit any contamination. Social distancing will also be enforced whilst on session. We will also have an extra member of staff on at each session to ensure all of the above is being adhered to and our sessions are as safe as they can be. We will provide you with additional details regarding sessions in the coming weeks.

What to do if you get Coronavirus symptoms

If you get symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) again, you must self-isolate immediately and ask for a test.

The symptoms are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.

If someone you live with (or someone in your support bubble) gets symptoms again, you must also self-isolate immediately.

You must self-isolate again even if you've had a positive test result for coronavirus before. You probably have some immunity to coronavirus but it's not clear how long it will last.

You must not leave your home if you're self-isolating.

When to self-isolate and what to do

What is self-isolation?

Self-isolation is when you do not leave your home because you have or might have coronavirus (COVID-19). This helps stop the virus spreading to other people.

Self-isolation is different to:

  • social distancing – general advice for everyone to avoid close contact with other people
  • shielding – advice for people at high risk from coronavirus

When to self-isolate

You must self-isolate immediately if:

  • you have any symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste)
  • you've tested positive for coronavirus – this means you have coronavirus
  • you live with someone who has symptoms or tested positive
  • someone in your support bubble has symptoms or tested positive
  • you're told to self isolate by NHS Test and Trace
  • you arrive in the UK from a country with a high coronavirus risk - see GOV.uk: how to self-isolate when you travel to the UK

Covid-19 Update

Good Afternoon.

We are approaching Coronavirus with caution but with nothing too drastic too soon.

We are going to take each day as it comes and provide updates regularly to our provisions.

I am in contact with local schools and will continue to be guided by them and also similar organisations to ours to ensure that we are not putting any members of the public at risk and most importantly, young people who attend our provisions.

I appreciate that this is not very helpful however by taking each day as it comes we can make sure we are safeguarding everyone and complying with the advice of the UK Government and the WHO.

What we do ask is that everyone is mindful for the elderly and vulnerable members of our community, of which they will be very scared and may struggle to access supplies that they need should they have to go into isolation. If you are able please do check in on them and help them get everything they need, in this day and age, we urge everyone to be kind.

I hope this message reaches you all.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Stay safe

Andy
