Our 'Youth on the Move' project provides open access youth provisions across several villages in the Osgoldcross area of North Yorkshire and parts of West Yorkshire. The Osgoldcross Forum highlighted the need for youth provision in these villages, aiming to tackle the social isolation of young people due to the rural nature of their communities or due to financial deprivation. The Forum were successful in securing The National Lottery Community Fund grant to deliver this 3 year project and over the last eight years the project has grown from strength to strength with weekly attendance figures reaching over 200 young people, further highlighting the continued need and impact of the project.
We offer a wide range of structured activities and free play opportunities in a positive environment, ensuring a stimulating and engaging experience for all our young people, giving them the freedom to try new experiences, mix social groups and make new friends.
Our activities include a wide range of outdoor sporting activities including Football, Rugby, Hockey, Tennis, Rounders, Cricket, American Football, Baseball and much much more. We also offer a variety of indoor activities at all of our youth club venues including Arts and Crafts, Pool, Snooker, Table-Tennis, Table Football, Air Hockey, Basketball, Dodgeball, Circus Skills, Bowling, Indoor Hockey, Games Consoles including PS4, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii and Music Games.
We also run day and evening trips, themed parties and local village events and celebrations throughout the year. Some of our day trips have included visits to Alton Towers theme park, Gravity trampoline park, 'Onestop Footgolf' and the 'Big Fun' play centre in Hull. Our themed parties and events include Halloween Parties, Christmas Parties, Discos, Movie Nights, Village Fetes and Summer Activity Days.
Our youth clubs are for any young people between the ages of 5-19 and run Monday - Friday on an evening between 5pm and 8pm.
